Overall, Songhak Korean BBQ in Tustin provides a solid dining experience at a great value, making it a must-visit for Korean BBQ enthusiasts in the Orange County area.

Came solo on a slow Tuesday night, and they were a bit hesitant to seat me. They told me that in order to dine, I would have to do the highest tier. More than likely, I would've gotten it anyway, but it was a bit off-putting being told that straight off the bat. On the flip side, most kbbq don't accommodate solo diners at all, so I'll let it pass. Nothing too memorable about the meal. Quality was pretty good, portion sizes are manageable; you can even request half portions on some. The self serve bar is pretty meh. I just grabbed myself a slab of pork belly and some veggies (mushrooms and jalapeños). Service was a bit slow, there were only 2-3 workers at any given time, but they were mostly in the back and not on the floor. Probably won't be back, as there are better options and much closer to home.

We couldn't resist the weekday lunch special--$21.99 for all-you-can-eat? Count us in! The main proteins included brisket, beef belly, thin and thick pork belly, bulgogi, and chicken, each with a variety of marinades. One unique thing was how the meats were handled: some were self-serve, while others had to be ordered through the server. That helped speed things up a bit. The self-serve bar also had salad, pickled radish, kimchi, and BBQ veggies. The food overall was delicious, but there were only two servers managing the entire floor. They were running around nonstop--seating parties, taking orders, changing grills, and ringing people up--which made it tough to get their attention. We had to ask for rice paper three times before we finally got it. All in all, it was a solid experience for the price, and I'd definitely come back--but only for the lunch special.

We got the lowest ayce price because we just wanted to grill and chat but not many beef options of the menu just chadol and beef belly. yes they have a buffet style bar with raw meats to choose from but it's a lot of marinated meats like bulgogi and pork belly. Would appreciate another beef option for the lower priced tier. When it's busy the servers are running around not really paying attention to you which can suck but understandable.

Come MEAT me at @burningxkbbq ! This newly opened KBBQ spot in Tustin (either replacing/rebranding the former Songhak) offers a SUPER affordable (as low as $21.99 during weekday lunch) AYCE menu that features up to 46 high quality cuts of prime-grade meats and a self-serve banchan + select marinated meat station. Personally, I was very impressed with the quality and freshness of all the cuts of meat that we tried (especially the beef brisket and Wagyu beef belly), and I would highly recommend checking them out if you're looking for high quality KBBQ on a budget in OC. Service was very attentive and friendly, and we didn't have very long waits to replace grills/order more items, which is much appreciated for AYCE KBBQ time limits. This place was a lifesaver for Christmas Day. Originally I was planning to eat at Sichuan Impression but had a couple of people who don't eat spicy. Luckily, this place was next door and open. They have pretty good deal of AYCE. We got signature A $29.99 since our group don't eat that much. There's a good variety of marinated meat at the self serve section. I kind of hope they have a little bit more vegetables options. We ate a lot of zucchini and salad. I also wish they had steamed egg and some kind of dessert. Service was good. The staff was friendly. There's a huge parking lot. The place can get a bit loud.

Loving the upgraded dining experience at Burning X Korean BBQ. Amazing lunch and dinner specials remain, so I had to come back for the $21.99 lunch deal! Super delicious! They have a wide selection of meats at the meat bar that you can just grab while they prepare on your kitchen orders. AND We got lots of grill changes and friendly service which were greatly appreciated. Make sure to check them out!

This is my second visit. I am still safisfied with their service. Mi-ok is the best server in my whole life.

Never been to a semi buffet kbbq restaurant before, so I was nervous yet excited. Parking: They're located in a large plaza. Plenty of free parking spots and easy to find! Ambiance/Environment: They also have a large space with booths and tables for all sizes. It's a very casual spot. The music is lit. We came in around 5pm, and it wasn't as busy until the dinner rush @6-8pm. Service: Shout out to Miok and Andy! Miok spoke a little English, but she greeted us when we walked in. Andy is very knowledgeable and attentive. He explained the menu to us and offered great recommendations. Menu: They do have very specific rules, so make sure you read it before dining. You can choose between 3 options - lunch, signature, or premium. All options include the meat and salad bar. Meat & Salad Bars: I really liked the salad and meat bars! It's really convenient for those who prefer a specific amount of meats and don't have to constantly order it. Not only did I loaded up the meats, but I also loaded up bowls of salad and kimchi! Kitchen: We went with Option B Premium. There were 24 items from the kitchen. The meats were definitely premium! Wow! I also tried their seafood options, and it was amazing! Everything was marinated well and had lots of flavorful. Wish I could've taken advantage of their corn cheese, ramen, and other meats I missed, but best believe I'll be back for more! Pricing: Definitely worth every penny! The self serve bar was my favorite part. The meats were premium as noted, and service was exceptional!

Great service! I loved the DIY setup with the salad bar and the meat bar--being able to grab fresh sides and meats like bulgogi and pork belly was a nice touch. They offer two menu options: Signature ($29.99 for 37 items) and Premium ($38.99 for 46 items) There's multiple sections around the salad/meat bar so it's perfect for both small and big groups.
